Mr. Harish Chandra takes over as Director (Finance) of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited
Mr. Harish Chandra, Member of Indian Railway Accounts Services from 1979 Civil Services Examination Batch, has assumed the charge of the post of Director(Finance) of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited, New Delhi on 11th March, 2005.
Shri Harish Chandra is a Science graduate and holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from University of Delhi. He has held various positions in Northern Railway, South Eastern Railway, Central Organization for Modernisation of Workshops (COFMOW) and Railway Board. In Railway Board, he was associated with Rolling Stock procurement for Indian Railways and has dealt with major international contracts for procurement of locomotives, coaches, etc.
Shri Harish Chandra has held the positions of FA&CAO in Construction Organization on Northern Railway and COFMOW. He was closely associated with construction of Ryagada-Koraput line on South Eastern Railway. As a part of Post Graduate Programme in Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi he has worked on “Investment Decision Making in Indian Railways” and has submitted a dissertation on the subject. Prior to joining RVNL, Shri Harish Chandra was holding the position of Group General Manager (Finance) in Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR). |
